San Nazaro in Brolo Church

A very strange church… Once in, you will find yourselves to be inside a huge atrium: go through it and you will find some steps taking you downstairs… Weird, right? Inside a church you usually find steps to go up, not down… Are you wondering why?
 
The truth is that this church is so old that it was rebuilt and reconstructed so many times: the octagonal atrium you firstly step into is nothing but a baptistery hiding the building facade behind… Well, a kind of buildings overlap… After having a look inside, go to Vicolo Santa Caterina, just next to the church!
