You don’t know what to do this week and you’re looking for some events, aren’t you? Well, in Expo there’s always something interesting to do! So, here we go: a mentelocale’s article about all the events in Expo during this week (from July 13th to July 19th)!

Monday (July 13th)

From 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., the Chile pavilion celebrates the police and the anniversary of the military forces’ foundation in 1814 together with the Chilean Carabineros.
In the Tanzania’s area , there will be many parties at Cluster Spezie during the National Day.
There should be the official delegation that will be welcomed with traditional music and dances.

Tuesday (July 14th)

At the Hungarian pavilion, there will take place the Experidance’s shows, ideated by the choreographer Sándor Román. Traditional dances, music and eye-catching clothes are the ingredients of this show that will last until Tuesday (3 p.m., 5 p.m., 7 p.m. and 9 p.m.)
From 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., at Waterstone Intesa San Paolo, Laura Curino goes on with the reading of some of Alessadro Manzoni’s masterpieces. Today, it will be the turn of La sventurata.

Wednesday (July 15th)

At the Wine pavilion you’ll have the chance to taste some of the best wines of Friuli Venezia Giulia. From 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., don’t miss the meeting called “Il vivaismo viticolo in Friuli Venezia Giulia”, organized by Ersa Agenzia Regionale per lo Sviluppo Rurale.
From 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m., there’s the meeting “Friuli Venezia Giulia regione di autoctoni: alla ricerca della capitale”, organized by Mario Busso, author of Guida Vinibuoni d’Italia of Touring.
At this event, you’ll be acle to taste six different wines of this fantastic region: Malvasia, Ribolla gialla, Friulano, Refosco, Schioppettino di Prepotto, Pignolo.

Thursday (July 16th)

The wine experience at the Wine Pavilion goes on with EXPlore Friuli Venzia Giulia’s wines, organized by Consorzio delle DOC-FVG. At 11:30 a.m. and at 2:30 p.m. Malvasia and Ribolla gialla wine will be presented to the public, giving also some precious advices about food matches.
At Cascina Triulza, there will be the presentation of Taste of a City in occasion of La giornata della città. Il senso ritrovato.
This project come from the idea of Susan Berardo, a great architect, that has thought about the ways you may taste architecture and cities: from this idea, she produced four sensorial texts, four recipes, one publication, an exposition, a video and this Expo event in which four cities are told: London, Belfast, Ljubljana, Rome. The protagonists of the culinary side are the starred Chef Cristina Bowerman (Glass Hosteria e Romeo) and the critic of architecture Luigi Prestinenza Puglisi.

Friday (July 17th)

At 12:30 p.m., 3:30 p.m., 5 p.m. and 7 p.m., at the Thailand pavilion there will take place “Attraverso la Thainess”: shows and exhibitions concerning this wonderful country. Moreover, there will be the musical show of Perng Mang kok Duet, a Thailand traditional boxing demonstration, Som Tam’s show called Thai Pupput Show.
From 5:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m., at the Uruguayan pavilion, traditional tambores will play the Candombe, one of the most iconic music of this community.

Saturday (July 18th)

From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., at Cluster Cacao, the Ghana Dance Ensemble will perform some traditional rituals.
At 8:15 p.m., along the Decumano, from Piazza Italia to the Tavola del Mondo in Expo Centre, you may attend the catwalk of women that strongly want to connect people thanks to the food. Among the participants, there will be Emma Bonino and Diana Bracco.

Sunday (July 19th)

At the Argentinian pavilion at 4 p.m., 5:30 p.m., 6:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m., there will take place Crisoles, played by El Choque Urbano: a show that highlights the Argentinian tradition of tango and the electronic and modern sounds.
As every weekend, there will be Alla vita!, the Cirque du Soleil’s show at the Open Air Theatre, from 9:15 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. Tickets may be booked or bought at Expo.
